Shadrack is a contented and peaceful child, who wakes up singing. He is resourceful enough to make his own toy cars from discarded materials. Shadrack is mechanically inclined and wants to become an engineer.

Shadrack’s mom and dad are both manual laborers. There are eight children in the family. Shadrack's sister Joan also attends Cornerstone and his younger brother Paul attends LEAP Preschool.
