Peter is a playful and affectionate child. His teacher describes him as a good-hearted boy who can win anyone over with his smile.  His parents separated because of domestic violence, so Peter and his mother now live with his aunt. His mother works as a manual laborer on a construction site.  Peter is the third of four children. His cousins Meshack and Daniel attend Cornerstone.

Eveline is confident and outgoing, and not afraid to stick up for herself. At home, she pitches in by washing the dishes. Eveline is happiest when she is jumping rope or running at recess. Eveline wants to become a teacher. Her favorite animal is a camel, but seeing one in real life is still on her bucket list.  Eveline lives with her single mother, and two siblings. Her mother is a manual laborer.

John is a contented and lighthearted child, who loves tagging along whenever the goats are taken out to graze. John may be a future engineer, since he loves taking household objects apart just to see how they are made.  John parents are both farmers. Rahab is an introvert who prefers to listen instead of talk. She responds slowly and cautiously in new situations. At home, Rahab helps with the dishes and laundry. Eddy has learned some basic carpentry by watching his dad. He is thrilled to help with any job that requires a hammer and nails. Eddy is a soccer fanatic, and has big dreams of becoming a professional soccer player.  Eddy’s dad is a manual laborer, and his mom is a housewife. Eddy is the only child.
