Ryan Ngigi

Ryan is an outgoing, bubbly child who loves being around people. At home, he enjoys playing group games or rolling tires with friends. Ryan adores playing with animals, especially cats.  Ryan and his younger brother are currently being cared for by their grandparents. Their single mother is employed in a town an hour away. Ryan’s aunt and uncle, Joyce and Martin, attend Cornerstone.

Boniface adores all animals, including worms, which he loves to dig up and gift to his mother. He dreams of becoming a veterinarian. Boniface is a quiet and thoughtful child, and often lets his twin sister Charity do the talking for both of them.

Boniface’s dad is a sand harvester, and his mother does manual labor. Of the seven children in the family, Boniface and Charity are the youngest.

Charity is chipper and curious. She loves to listen in on conversations. Charity and her twin brother Boniface, who also attends LEAP Preschool, make it a habit to stick up for each other. Ellena’s favorite animals are cats and donkeys. She is a musical child, who loves singing and dancing. At playtime, Ellena dons an apron, and cooks up pretend snacks in the play kitchen. Ellena’s dad is a night watchman, and her mom stays home with their newborn baby. Ellena is the oldest of two children.

Jaisen’s favorite activities include playing with toy cars, and looking at picture books. He is a talkative child, but also enjoys the quiet when he takes his family’s goats out to pasture. Mary lives with both parents. Mother is a farmer and father is a casual laborer. Mary helps at home by sweeping and washing dishes. She’s the youngest of 4 children.

Mary’s favorite color is green. Her idea of happiness is playing hide-and-seek and eating sandwiches. Mary aspires to become a pilot.

Antony is a gregarious and joyful child, who loves nothing more than a game of soccer with his friends. At home, Antony helps by taking the sheep and goats out to graze, and by feeding the chickens. Antony has aspirations of becoming a bus driver.

Beth’s father abandoned their family after Beth’s mother died in August 2019, leaving Beth’s grandmother to care for her five grandchildren. Despite these tragic circumstances, Beth is confident, spirited, and a ball of energy. Her hobbies include singing and making friends.

Chris’s teacher describes him as an attentive and playful child.
